A challenge for us: health insurance communication
In cooperation with public and BITMARCK, readyplace is taking on an interesting challenge:
People with disabilities often face greater effort in obtaining information and advice from their health insurers. Hard-of-hearing and deaf insured persons, for example, can only use the telephone service with assistance.
People with visual impairments and blindness also face hurdles in interacting with health insurance staff. They need special auditory and/or haptic channels.
That is why BITMARCK, with expert support from IKK – Die Innovationskasse, is looking for digital offerings to optimise communication and interaction between people with disabilities and health insurers, which could potentially be used by more than 80 percent of statutory health insurers with 25 million insured persons and 30,000 employees.
Alternative written and visual channels as well as digital assistants and digital speech encoding for individual listening speed, for example, can be considered.
As one of three young companies, we will take on the challenge.
At readyplace we want to go a step further: people without impairments also often face great challenges in digitalisation. That is exactly where we start – over the coming weeks we will expand our software further to solve precisely these challenges.
And we are really curious to see what our colleagues at SEMANUX and Speaksee will contribute to this challenge.
