Case study – Schulte Bauunternehmen
A strong partnership in just a few steps
Schulte Bauunternehmen GmbH

The construction company Deters, founded in 1909, was taken over by Tono Schulte in 1977 and operated mainly regionally until the 1990s, building single-family and multi-family homes as well as public construction projects. In 1990 today’s sole owner, Dipl.-Ing. Ralf Schulte, joined the company after a bricklaying apprenticeship and an engineering degree. Since then the company’s scope and reach have kept changing. Today we operate almost exclusively nationally, not only in building construction but also in landscaping, and we produce individually manufactured precast concrete parts for our customers.
Starting point
Everyday life in a construction company consists of many figures, well-thought-out planning and the clean execution of building projects. The motto is: do enough that you can call it a day with a clear conscience.
For all of this to get the attention it needs, all the gears of the company have to mesh. For a specialist company like ours it is usually no problem to stay on top and achieve all planning targets. Now and then, however, there is room for improvement in our own structures.
This applies above all to everything that can be simplified at the administrative level. Whether new employees are starting work or existing processes are being simplified – we consciously chose readyplace.
Impact and result
The easy-to-use readyator lets us create better, more understandable instructions. With the interactive guidance through the tutorials, our employees – some of whom may have less technical understanding – are shown simple steps that previously took much more time. This is also a significant relief for communication on our construction sites. A fitting example is our recent server migration.
We started the migration in March 2020 and saved massive amounts of time and effort with readyplace by creating short, intuitive tutorials for all kinds of business areas. For our foremen, the transition was made easier with guides such as setting up email on smartphones, iPads and laptops. We also taught them how to use the new environment with quickly created readyplace guides. This greatly reduced our workload during the actual migration: while the foremen were already configuring their settings, we were free to attend to other tasks and problems.
Our administration has also benefited massively from readyplace. In the course of the migration, we decided to make the switch as easy as possible for our commercial staff as well. We provided further tutorials explaining how to set up printers and email, how to work on our new data servers and how to use our construction software module by module.
Conclusion and outlook
We are very happy about the partnership with readyplace and stand 100% behind this idea, which can make everyday work so much easier. Shorter processes, faster onboarding of new employees and the elimination of outdated paper instructions are an unbeatable argument that has fully convinced us too.
We look forward to the future, the upcoming programme enhancements and the friendly, competent communication with the readyplace team.
