readyplace and KDO start cooperation
Berlin, 23 June 2022
The Oldenburg software company readyplace and the Zweckverband Kommunale Datenverarbeitung Oldenburg (KDO), an IT service provider for municipalities, will work together in future to offer cities and municipalities a new way of communicating with easily created click tutorials.
KDO secures the exclusive distribution rights for Lower Saxony.
Good news from Berlin:
At the GovTech conference in the Berlin congress centre AXICA, readyplace managing director Heiko Jabusch and Yvonne Becker, head of contract and customer management at Kommunale Datenverarbeitung Oldenburg, announced the start of a special partnership. The software developed by readyplace for the easy creation of click tutorials will in future be distributed exclusively by KDO in Lower Saxony’s B2G market.
Becker said: “With readyplace we offer our customers in the public sector a solution for creating click tutorials with high added value. Knowledge and process transfer, training content, instructions and much more can be created and provided for employees and citizens simply, digitally and smartly. The data is stored securely in our ISO-certified high-performance data centre in Oldenburg.”
One case from spring 2020 was particularly convincing: the local Chamber of Commerce needed a solution to explain the digital applications for Covid emergency aid to mostly inexperienced users at their computers. Many ideas such as videos or documents were quickly discarded because time was short and the legal requirements kept changing.
readyplace provided the remedy: within an hour, a click tutorial was created that showed users every single step and significantly sped up the application process, as hardly any queries to the overloaded service hotline were necessary.
For readyplace, the news of the cooperation is certainly a reason to celebrate.
Jabusch said during the conference: “For our company this is clearly the logical next step. Over the past two years we have clearly shown with many well-known and large customers that our product solves communication problems in the simplest way, problems that otherwise seem unsolvable. We want to solve these problems in the state’s administrations in future too, and KDO as a partner with a great deal of trust in this area will help us enormously. For me this is not only a win-win situation for readyplace and KDO – administration employees and the citizens of cities and municipalities in Lower Saxony will benefit equally from this cooperation!”

About readyplace
Complex business processes mean that experienced colleagues repeatedly have to spend working time on training new employees and partner companies. Knowledge management, especially for rarely used processes, requires a solution that presents the process cleanly and can be continuously updated when changes are identified.
readyplace’s offering provides a suitable solution: business processes are analysed and made available to users in a suitable form. Users are thus able to familiarise themselves with new subject areas and work packages independently and without the involvement of third parties, or to refresh their knowledge of rarely used processes quickly and easily. This increases the productivity of employees and partner companies while saving costs for employee onboarding.
